August 16th, 2014. It was a Saturday, it was about 80* out, and I was looking for my first car. Around 1:30 PM on this wonderful day, I got her. I got my baby. I picked up the GLi, with it's Tornado Red paint, 200hp TSi engine, and 6-speed manual for $21,000. The day I bought her, her Odometer read 23,037 miles.

in the first 48 hours of ownership, I put another 220 miles on her, because I wanted to. Driving her was the best thing out there, and it honestly still is!

Kinja'd!!!

As of today, April 1st 2015, the GLi has officially has 32,050 miles on it! that's just over 9,000 miles in just 7 months and 15 days!

considering I live 1.2 miles from my high school, I'd say I have been doing a lot of driving! so here's to all of the milestones to come! happy 9K with me GLi! I'm thankful you've given me thee!

Whenever I go out to Seattle (often), I see A LOT of GTI/GLI's.

It's because you guys embrace car culture, and we don't. Oh well.

I wish I only put that much on my truck in the last year. I put just over 50,000 km since February 2014. However, I do drive about 100km to work and then 100km back home, this is monday-friday so it's completely justifiable.

I probably shouldn't have a Yukon as a daily driver but hey its comfortable to commute in.
